WellAve offers high-tech, virtual care from the comfort of your home or office using telemedicine. The use of electronic communications to provide health care remotely is known as telemedicine, and it’s becoming increasingly popular.

We offer dermatology care telemedicine appointments through the modmed Telehealth™ app, which is available for download on your Android or iOS device.

Using this app can benefit you when:

• You’re busy and on the go or you can’t easily make it to an in-person appointment
• You have a mild skin issue such as a bite, rash, skin lesion, minor burn or acne
• You would like a consultation about cosmetic services

Telemedicine doesn’t replace in-person visits, but it can be an effective added way for you to consult with our team, giving you faster assistance and assurance – or a recommendation for face-to-face care. Once you install the app, you can easily snap and send photos and other information about your condition to receive a reply from our team.

Getting Started is Easy

From the App Store or Google Play, search for “Modernizing Medicine” and then download the “modmed Telehealth” app onto your device. Data rates may apply from your telecom provider. The app itself is free to download. We charge a $50.00 fee for each case you submit.

How to Use the App

In the app, you’ll first answer a series of questions about your condition and then take a few photos to send with your case. The app works best on smartphones but can be also used on tablets. It is not currently available on the web or for your computer.

Existing patients with a profile in our Patient Portal: Please use our URL “wellave.ema.md” (without the quotes) in the app to get started. Log in using your WellAVe Patient Portal username and password.

New patients (or those without a profile in our Patient Portal): please visit our Register for Telemedicine form to get started!

Our team will reply to you within one business day. Push notifications from the app will keep you updated on the status of your case. We also offer a chat feature so you can communicate with our team regarding your submitted case.
